Buckhead Betty Guest Post!

One of my new favorite blogs is a local one here in Atlanta for us Buckhead Betty's.  She has the greatest inexpensive ideas.  Today we decided to a blog swap so be sure to check out my guest post over at Buckhead Betty... On a Budget!

I've asked her to gather some of her favorite affordable gift ideas for this holiday season to keep your pocketbook in check.  Take a look at her blog HERE and be sure to show some love!   Her top 10 best of Atlanta post was one of my favorites.  If you're a local, I'm sure you'll agree!

Hi My Style Vita readers, and thank you Jessica for having me today! I am so excited to be here talking all about the stuff of the season that's on everyone's minds this week after Black Friday and Cyber Monday craziness -- GIFTS!

I love gifting almost more than receiving, I have to tell you. There is something so secretive and fun to think of that perfect, little, thoughtful something for each one of those very special people in your life. Whether it's the mailman, your husband or your sister, the joy on their face when they unwrap the gift and realize what it is gets me every. single. time. I am happy just thinking about some of the things I have up my sleeve for my friends and family this year.

But in typical Buckhead Betty fashion, these gifts I want to talk about today all have something in common. They are all super budget-friendly, as are the stores they are from, and they are all ideas for those sometimes-overlooked people in your life. So if the holiday dollar signs have you down as you realize the sheer size of your shopping list, read on for some ideas on how to save some cash while coming off looking like that fab and appreciative diva that you really are.

Buckhead Betty's Gift Ideas for Your Favorite ...

Party Hostess
Don't show up to a party empty-handed. Just don't! Pick up a fun seasonal towel from Swoozie's on your way over, and wrap it around a Trader Joe's bottle of wine with ribbon for a sleek, easy and useful gift.
Towel: $14.95, Wine: $4-8

Work Boss
You may love 'em or hate 'em, but if you are a work politics-guru, you know that showing up with something in hand for your boss this season is a must. Keep it simple with something they can use at work. A coffee press is a step up from the gross office pot, and when paired with a bag of Starbucks ground coffee, they will be caffeinated and that much happier with you and your performance.
Coffee Press: Target, $17.99; Coffee: $10

Hair Dresser
You trust this lady with your secrets, your gossip and, of course, your hair. Time to treat her with something for herself! A fun pair of earrings or a necklace are the perfect accessory, especially if she has to wear all-black at the salon. Add a gift card for a local happy hour spot, and she is set for drinks one night after work soon! Katherine's tip: make the value of the gift about equal to that of your usual haircut/color, if you can.
Necklace: Simply Vera at Kohl's, $21
Concierge Staff
Picking out a nice way to say "thank you" at the holidays to the 10+ staff members in my highrise condo is super important to me. They know more about me than many, but writing a check to sum up their real worth isn't really possible for me. Last year, I put together a goody basket full of homemade and store-bought salty and sweet snacks, perfect for either the late-night guard or the daytime front desk girl. Grab an inexpensive basket and stuffing from Cost Plus to bring the look all together, and sign it with a nice, handwritten card.
Basket: $6, Supplies: $40 and up, or whatever you can afford

That about does it! What are your favorite gift ideas for these sometimes overlooked but awesome people in your life?
