Although I was hoping for a sexy back bearing dress by Kate, an Alexander McQueen design will do! Creative director Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen designed Kate Middleton's elegant yet modern wedding dress for today's Royal Wedding! Absolutely stunning on her as she walked down the aisle. Not to mention her gorgeous sister, Pippa, looked just as beautiful in another Sarah Burton design. The cowl neck dress with cap sleeves was timeless.
After a heartbreak of losing a designer icon last year, Alexander McQueen is still making statements in the fashion world. Watch out for duplicates coming to the stores soon. I know I wouldn't mind Pippa's cowl neck dress in a cocktail length to strut around in around town in a casual fabric.
Congrats to the newlyweds!

Today's playful outfit. Mock tank dress from Express, cardigan from Nordstrom, chunky statement necklace by Express and shoes are Steve Madden.
Going straight to happy hour after work which makes this the perfect transitional outfit. Take the cardigan off and the outfit becomes instantly sexy for happy hour.
One of my weaknesses is a great cupcake topped with even better butter-cream icing. I've considered myself a cupcake expert sitting in the office at Whiskey Blue devouring leftover cupcakes with my fellow cupcake fiend who's name will remain anonymous (you know who you are). We came across some of GiGi's cupcakes after an engagement party left some to the staff. I became an instant fan. I haven't found an occasion to buy a $3.00 cupcake since then. Thankfully I have a birthday party to go to and a Living Social coupon for half a dozen of these creations. I may have bought an extra one to munch on so I don't show up to the party with 5 instead of 6 cupcakes. Just devoured the Champagne cupcake, so delicious. For your next party I highly recommend these cupcakes. They are easy on the eyes and are loaded with icing. Click HERE for the daily Buckhead menu

I've always wanted to redo my bedroom, it's about as green as a bedroom can get. This is my new inspiration for my cool grey room via West Elm. When it will happen, I'm not sure, but I'm keeping this picture saved to my computer for future shopping inspiration when the time comes.

I recently was invited to a late spring wedding and wanted to switch up my usual black cocktail dress with something different. Like most of you out there, I tend to lean towards a short LBD for an event like this. But this spring, I'm trying something new, the Maxi. Although the men out there find it ugly and strange and maternity, I find it quite chic and liberating. Check out this little find from Ruelala.com designed by BCBG MaxAzria. Silk gown with a beaded empire waist. Now the question remains, what shoes?
I'm a huge fan of a wedge, especially with some short shorts. While dream shopping at Saks I ran across some fabulous Christian Louboutin wedges. The Praia wedge is setting the trend for wrapped wedges across the board. I thought I'd never see a replica, but everyones doing it from Sam Edelman to Steve Madden. Although no one has come close to the beauty of the original (not surprised) I may be picking up the Steve Madden version to satisfy my wedge craving this spring.
I have always been a bit of a hippie at heart. Spending almost 7 years in the Northwest will have this effect on you. This has crossed over into my fashion life as I like to buy sustainable and organic clothing. Not only do you look great, but you look smart. Fabrics can be soft and comfy just like your favorite hoodie. A local company called Alternative Apparel has been on my radar for a while now. With a cool attitude and cooler clothes, this is a great company to start following. Check out their hoodies that I love that you can find at Nordstrom. The Chrissy Hoodie
