Hey NYC, What Are You Wearing?
A dear friend of mine is now living in my favorite city, the big apple! I'm super jealous since she's basically living my dream life hailing cabs in the tropical storm, walking 20 blocks to get to work, taking a subway to get to the grocery store... God I'm jealous! Wait a minute.... Maybe not so fast. Anyway, I'll tell you what I am jealous of, this top! Something about Kelly green makes me smile. It's so bright and perfect against her olive skin tone. And according to her, this outfit was a big hit at work including a compliment in the form of email (they obviously don't work as hard as I thought New Yorkers do) a whistle in the street (now that's what I think of when I think NYC, my bet is it was a guy wearing a hard hat and his name was likely Tony) and your typical, "hey I like your outfit". All in all, she can call this outfit a success for the day.

Outfit Du Jour
Went through my closet yesterday and realized I have so many great pieces that can be integrated into each season. This top was purchased for fall, but if you ask me it looks great with some white shorts! And I never would've paired this necklace together with it if I didn't play dress up. Always shop your closet. You'll find new treasures everyday.

Fall Fashion Countdown - #1..... BOLD COLOR!
I know we've seen a lot of hippie hues and natural gold tones, but really this Fall is about bold ridiculous color. Recently flipped through my Harpers Bazaar and that's ALL you see. Bold blues, bright yellow, hot hot pink, and mix them all up, and you've got the newest trend. Pair a trendy bold colorblock skirt with a simple bow tie blouse and you're set. Don't overload on this trend too much, stick to one major piece, a great top, shoe, or coat.

Fall Fashion Countdown - #2 The Chunky Heel
If you're not big into boots, or just have a shoe obsession and need one of everything (GUILTY!) the new stacked chunky heel is sure to please. It looks amazing with a great wide leg jean, a feminine dress with tights, or to work with a blouse and pencil skirt. I love the different styles they come in from oxford inspired to a classic pump. You'll definitely find one that pleases your sense of style for Fall. Oh and not to mention that it's WAY more comfortable to wear something with substance on your feet. Stacked platform = comfort! Who doesn't love that?

$10 Fridays! - Home Decor On The Cheap
One of my favorite home decor stores is Z Gallerie and a lot of the times I try to not go in because everything seems to be so expensive. Today however, I found some great home accents for our bookshelf, desk or nightstand to liven up the space with a few interesting pieces. And they are all under $10.
Fall Favorite Countdown - #3 70's Flare
Thank you thank you thank fashion gods!!! I love my flared jeans, the 70's inspired, super comfy, SUPER flattering cut (hello!!! That's all that matters!). I'm so glad they are back. And they are back in a big way. Everything else that we are seeing for Fall has a touch of 70's hippie chic in it and you can't do 70's without a great pair of wide leg jeans. I love something slightly high waisted with a pretty blouse and a great chunky shoe. I won't rid myself of skinny jeans just yet, but I'm happy to be wearing these again.

Fall Fashion Countdown - #4 New Metals
Rose gold came onto the scene some last year and over the last few weeks with fall arrivals we are seeing even more yummy choclate-y colors appear. I'm loving the new colors of gold this fall from rose, chocolate, yellow and well give me gold and I'll wear it. I am Italian after all, it's expected.

Outfit du Jour - For Old Times Sake
I just had to do it! I was too tempted. Had lunch with the man at his work (my old work where this blog all began) and just had to take a pic. Not to mention this outfit is totally breaking dress code. Shoes Steve Madden, shorts and top Express and purse is Target! Happy hump day all you 9-5ers!!
Fall Favorite Countdown - #5 Pleated Skirts
Oh how I wish I was 5'10" sometimes!!! The pleated skirt in every length has been on EVERY runway for Fall. I love this look because it's so feminine and classy. Pair with a bow blouse and a cute bootie, another fall favorite, and you've got a great outfit. These come in varying lengths for your height and style preferences. Since I'm on the shorter side, barely 5'5", I'm going to attempt the shorter version and pair with the highest shoes I own.

Fall Fashion Countdown - #6 Vests
I recently purchased my first chunky knit vest. I'm so excited to wear it you have no idea. It's by Kensie and it is by far my FAVORITE new Fall item. I love that its a light layering item because I am hot blooded and can not be weighed down by too much clothing. These pieces are great over a dress or skinnies and a tee. The faux fur ones are slowly becoming a new obsession too. How do you not want to curl up in one of them!?

Fall Fashion Countdown - #7 Capes!
I'll admit, I'm nervous to try this trend. It's awesome though. SUPER awesome. Great with skinnies and boots to keep you warm and toasty. Bundle up, layer up, who cares what's under that cape because you look great no matter what. The cape is the next best thing to that warm comfy blanket waiting for you at home. So take on the world with your cape super women!

Looking for another day job/career has been a struggle, but I do know I'll find it one of these days. Until then, I will continue to find great pieces to integrate into my day to day wardrobe and my 9-5 and this item is the perfect most versatile top you'll own. It's the pretty bow top. Bows are everywhere and they are so feminine and classic. They can work with a great edgy leather jacket and skinny jeans or dress pants for work. I also love it with shorts until it gets a little cooler. It's a great way to dress up any outfit effortlessly.
