Frugal Fridays And A Winner

Ever since I had the opportunity to attend the grand opening event at C. Wonder, I've been obsessed.  I haven't taken off my initial necklace (seen here and here) and I officially converted all my friends to become C. Wonder addicts.  This is not an exaggeration. My sister just headed there last week and left with 10 new bracelets.  Some of their pieces can be pricey, but a lot of it is quite reasonable.  Especially an extra 50% off of sale items using code FALLFIFTY. Go on, shop away. You're welcome.

{Outfit du Jour} The Shirt Dress AKA Pantless

I enjoy going pantless, it's true.  Luckily the latest trend in fashion are these wonderful shirt dresses. They are extremely versatile and are a perfect piece to transition you into fall then again into winter.  Add tights, boots, a leather jacket and you're set. But since it's still 88 degrees here in Atlanta, I'm going for nude shoes until it gets a little cooler.

Remember that fun post Cathy from Poor Little It Girl and myself did last week at Club Monaco? Well this little number came home with me.

Man-Ic Mondays

Hope everyone enjoyed a good weekend of Football. I got to enjoy it since my Giants killed it on Thursday night which means a stress free Sunday for me.  It's always nice seeing the 2nd string quarterback heading in for some play time.  It means the games over (sorry Jaguar fans).

I know you men like to sport your jersey's on game day, but sometimes you want to go subtle, or want to go from the office to the Thursday night game without looking like a total douche about it. I'm not a fan of polo's with a logo on it. It screams "I got this shit for free" or "I paid way too much for something that should've been free".  It's the truth. And most women look at you with one or two of those thoughts.  So ditch the collared shirt with the tacky logo that no one cares about and opt for sporting team colors in a trendy way without going overboard.

Here's my go to look for Giant's fans (if you didn't already realize I was a Giants fan, c'mon).

Frugal Fridays And A Winner

If there's one shoe I recommend getting for fall, it's the short bootie. I'm currently wearing mine today with some shorts and a cold shoulder top. It helps transition your wardrobe into Fall with ease.  You'll wear them with everything from shorts, skirts, leggings and dresses.  I really never thought I'd be a wearer of the short boot, but I'm 100% all in.

Also, congrats to Cindy Aiton for winning the Good Wood NYC giveaway. Email me!

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter (what you don't? How dare you....) You'll know that I'm obsessed over this leopard print coat from Free People. It's simply perfect fall attire.  Let's hope I find a Benjamin or two laying around so I can scoop this puppy up for Fall.

If you have plenty of Benjamins, I guess you can buy one now for yourself here. Lucky Bitch.

My Worst Nightmare And NYC Recap

I am not blessed with perfectly straight hair, nor am I blessed with awesome natural curls.  I'm sort of that in between, must do something to my hair before I leave my house or I am sure to look like a homeless person.

I'm not familiar with this NYC style living where buildings are older and you have to be conscious of how much power you are using at a single moment.  I made the mistake of assuming ACs were off when I went to go blow dry my very wet hair 10 minutes before I had to leave for Lucky FABB.  Yup, blew a fuse. Another great factor to this story, the cheese and wine shop that holds the breaker box doesn't open for another 3 hours.  Had to head to the biggest event in my blogging career with wet hair.  This is my worst nightmare in fashion emergencies. Luckily the Lucky FABB team had some hair and makeup from Covergirl ready to save the day, but that didn't happen until half way through the day. This is after I consumed close to 3 gigantic black and white cookies to subside my emotions, I'm surprised there isn't chocolate icing all over my face in these photos.

Turns out the new shorter do does better with drying naturally than my longer hair. Here are some photos from Lucky FABB.

And don't forget to enter the giveaways. There's TWO! Sole Society and Good Wood NYC.

Still shocked there isn't chocolate on my face in this photo. Shocked.

Editor in Chief of Lucky, Brandon Holley, and the CEO of Macy's, Terry Lundgren.  I'm dying over her shoes.

Just DYING.

The Man Repeller herself. Showed up a few minutes late, but none the less was a treat to get to see.  She is just as funny in person as she writes in her blog.

Lauren Sherman, Leah Chernikoff, Annie George-Greenburg, Leandra Medine

This moment made me one happy girl.  Rachel Zoe, the god of fashion. I die. She was Ba-na-nas

And my high school idol, Lauren Conrad. It was amazing to get to see her in person since I've idolized her since I'm 15.  I even got to ask her a question, I think we're besties now.  PS her shoes are from Kohls, shop them here.  And dress is by Paper Crown available here.

A Little Cowgirl

{Shop This Look}
Top Joie | Skirt Madewell | Shoes Aldo via Nordstrom
This skirt was last seen here with a little more Spring in it's step. With the humidity finally subsiding and temps starting to slowly decrease (79 degrees? I'll take it as fall weather) it's time to whip out the fall gear. Mixing in Fall pieces into your Summer wardrobe is actually one of my least favorite things to do. To me this is the hardest weather to dress for. I'm trying though, for you, I'm trying.  By adding a bootie to your usual Summer look, you instantly make the transition into the new season with ease.

And don't forget to enter the two giveaways. Sole Society and Good Wood NYC

A Shopping Trip To Club Monaco

You don't have to twist my arm to take me to Club Monaco for a little weekend shopping.  Cathy from Poor Little It Girl and myself were invited to check out the newly renovated Flagship store at Lenox Square and come up with some great fall looks with their latest collection. Walking into the double doors and being greeted by freshly folded fall clothes makes this girl very happy.

The store was filled with gorgeous knits, lots of sequins and stunning jewelry and accessories.

Since this particular location is a flagship this means very good things.  Shoes.  The Shultz for Club Monaco shoes are the only two shoes you'll need for Fall (shop them here and here).  And a gold glitter clutch? I'll take one of those too.

Stay tuned for an outfit du jour featuring what I picked up during our shopping excursion.  And be sure to head on over to Poor Little It Girl to see what items she pulled together.

One of my favorite things about Club Monaco, affordable and fun jewelry.

Leopard, stripes and lace.  Doesn't get better than that.

Browsing with my Blog Pal Cathy, thanks to Lauren M Hughes for snapping a few photos.

Attempting to organize my fitting room filled with amazing silk tops and tons of tweed.

I had such a hard time deciding what to take home. This Stephanie Texture skirt would be a great essential for Fall.  And the Patricia silk shirt with leather trim is your everyday blouse. May be heading back to pick this puppy up.

The Stephanie Striped skirt paired with the bold red Alesia shirt reminds me of my old private school uniform.  Classic navy with an update of leather trim.  This bad boy came home with me.

Say hello to this little number I got to take home. Can't wait to show you how I style my new Evaline SIlk Dress.

See what Cathy went home with over at Poor Little It Girl.

And a big thank you to the amazing staff at Club Monaco Lenox Square. They made us feel like shopping queens for a day.

Man-Ic Mondays - Fall Basics

The seasons are in full change mode right now. Can you smell the crisper air? The sound of Football in the background (like my Giants winning!). It's my favorite time of year, but just wish I had a better tan to take me into Fall.  Oh well.

Get your shopping list together, today I've pulled together your 5 must have pieces to buy on your next shopping trip.  Or just forward to your girlfriend using subject: WANT!

70's Inspired

The color of these rusty suede shoes reminds me of an old 70's style couch paired with avocado throw pillows and shag carpeting. It's one decade I definitely tend to admire the most. Maybe it was the old photos of my mom in high waisted bell bottoms and bandeau tops that keeps me going.

Brooklyn Block Parties

Luckily I've done the whole New York tourist thing since I'm from NY and travel there often. So this go around, I got to see the city through a more youthful eye with my bestie Vanessa.  She was an amazing hostess during my stay and as always, gets me hooked on new recipes. Coconut flour muffin in a mug anyone? It's amaze.  Snapped some great photos at a little block party that happens every weekend in Brooklyn.  I'm pretty much in shock as to how great that PBR shot came out. I think I've finally mastered my camera.
